Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI)

Repowered is built on firm values of social, economic and environmental justice at the forefront of our conscience and culture driving the vision and direction of the company.  Whether it is providing access to education for economically disadvantaged women in rural India to creating opportunities for women in STEM in the US, RPI leadership is passionate about providing a path to success for smart, intelligent and driven women.

Research from Harvard and Catalyst.org confirms that a more diverse workforce translates into more effective products and services, resulting ultimately in higher returns.  With this in mind, RPI employs a diverse workforce with gender equity and diversity to tackle and ultimately solve difficult problems of climate change.  Climate change being the existential crisis of the 21st century, RPI knows that delivery solutions must include equity and justice for all.

Environmental and Community Stewardship

Taking care of the environment and our neighborhood is part of our responsibility as good stewards of our planet.  During the pandemic, the RPI team seized the opportunities to give back to the community in a few ways.  We demonstrate our value and commitment to the community and the environment, by participating in voluntary efforts such as ISCJ Food Pantry in South Brunswick, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and Grow-A-Row Farm to help the needy and those affected by the COVID 19 Pandemic.

RPI is proud to be a part of the U.S Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Industry and be fighting alongside smart and innovative, public and private entities to solve climate change.  Whether it is working with clean tech companies like Merit Control or policy think tanks like ACEEE, we are expanding our knowledge of technology use and policy to solve climate issues.  RPI team has presented papers on energy technology and policy ideas at ACEEE conferences and moderated the 2021 Industrial Decarbonization Summer Study.

The RPI team also partners with academia and private industry to collaborate on meaningful initiatives that elevate and improve important social issues. RPI has strong roots to Rutgers University and the DOE supported Energy Center (CAES) and is collaborating on innovative IOT and Internet of Energy concepts. RPI belongs to a consortium led by the Rutgers CAES team exploring a path to deliver connected internet technology to the energy efficiency and renewable energy field.

Women in STEM

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are all integral parts of our company culture which allow us to have a variety of diverse ideas and influence to keep up with an increasingly diverse and ever changing world. Being a woman and minority owned STEM company, Repowered looks to not only celebrate and empower the individuality of different people, but to also push them out of their comfort zones in order to encourage new and innovative ideas from a variety of backgrounds and create an environment where all can feel welcome and safe. When it comes to our resources, we look to not only provide energy, but equity in opportunity and an emphasis in encouraging women to break into the STEM field.  We also look to provide our employees equal opportunities and incentives by offering workshops, and encouraging entrepreneurial and out of the box thinking in our corporate environment.  RPI proudly supports Women in Energy, Women in Engineering and Women for Energy Efficiency (WE2) which was co-founded by principal Engineer, Siddika Pasi.  RPI’s roots are from Rutgers School of Engineering and Rutgers Society of Women Engineers professional organization.
